At the same time they refer to the Bible, which clearly states: Eden was located in the east (to the east of Palestine, Canaan). But Egypt and Ethiopia are in the opposite direction – to the west and southwest. It is unclear why rely on a very definite indication of the Bible, if you come to opposite conclusions?

Assyria, Tigris, Euphrates

In any case, the Bible indicates that the river Pishon “flows around the land of Havilah”, and most biblical commentators see in this title some terrain in the Caucasus ( “Bible Encyclopedia”, str.735). Consequently, the Pishon River is one of the Caucasian rivers (the time it flows through the “land of Havilah”, localized by researchers in the Caucasus).
Gijon
And the fourth river of Eden – Gijon. The identification of this river with the Chechen river GIH (in Russian transcription – Geghi) can be met with disbelief. In this case, it is useful to remind readers of a number of factors associated with this river /
