Quality and level of teaching in the Hungarian higher education institutions are appreciated around the world, their diplomas admit all European countries (except Greece).
Diplomas of medical universities admit the USA. For example, Semmelweis University and University of Pécs have direct connections with the American practice. Universities closely cooperate in area of an exchange of teachers and the practicing students, since the 6th course.

In Hungary there is more than two tens universities which history contains several honeycombs of years, a set of institutes and colleges. And among them – the Europe’s first Technical Economic university (1782), Semmelweis University (1769), Eötvös Loránd University, (1367), “Conservatory of music” of the city of Szeged (1880), Academy of Arts (1871), and many others. These educational institutions are famous for the traditions and the famous graduates among whom is many outstanding scientists and Nobel laureates.
Hungary is in the center of Europe, it is the member of the European Union therefore Hungarian, English, German and Chinese are the languages, most widespread in life.
In 1990 in Hungary new foreign higher education institutions appeared: Oxford university Brooks (Oxford Brookes University), Makdaniyel Kolledzh, Budapest Campus of “McDaniel”, Central European University of Soros (CEU). These are the universities organized with assistance of the leading English or American higher education institutions. Considering the growing need for new shots and specialties, these higher education institutions offer entrants of the program for a menezhdment and marketing, banking, advertizing, tourism, communicative sciences and information technologies.

Programs
Programs of training are brought into accord with the international standards, and students in various higher education institutions can receive degree of the bachelor, master and doctor of philosophy depending on duration of the program and results of study. A bachelor degree – 4 years, a magistracy 2 or 3 years (the finished university education). Capable students are invited to training in the program of doctor’s degree: doctor of philosophy.
The student himself decides what objects he will study according to the major program, i.e., carrying out the main program and “minor”, the additional program for the chosen profile of training and specialization.
Training languages
Teaching is conducted in the Hungarian, English, German and French languages, there is a faculty even in Russian. In international (English and American) universities practice of studying of several foreign languages is widespread. For example, any Hungarian or foreign graduate, gaining the diploma on the bachelor’s degree in Hungary, knows 3-4 languages on different degrees. Many Higher education institutions during training hold exams at the students in foreign languages, it is included into the obligatory program of training with issue of the diploma where level from an average to the highest – special is precisely determined (by a subject) a foreign language.

The Russian certificates and diplomas in Hungary do not demand confirmation. The program of the Russian high school allows entrants to go to the Hungarian universities successfully. Requirements to knowledge of English make from 550 points of TOEFL for arriving in bakalavrit, 650 points – for entering the MA course.
In Hungary entrance examinations are held two times a year – in September and January. Therefore if the student has excellent results on a foreign language, he can officially take entrance examinations in December and study with for January about 1 a course of the chosen university. The student wishing to be trained according to the program of the master in January receives a subject in a magistracy or takes examinations (proceeding from requirements of higher education institution).
Training courses
If the entrant has no sufficient knowledge of English, German, it can freely arrive on preparatory faculty of the chosen higher education institution. Preparatory faculties practice the fastest acceptance of in the time and diligent students on the first course of the higher education institution as they is not present to hold them at preparatory faculty. During training at preparatory faculty there is no difference between the first-year student and the student of preparatory faculty: all occupations take place in the general stream of lectures and general group occupations by a foreign language.
There are three types of courses for preparation for receipt in universities:
Training courses at higher education institutions. Their main advantage – exact knowledge of requirements of higher education institution since with future entrants the same teachers who will hold entrance examinations are engaged.
Language course. These courses allow to learn the Hungarian or foreign language to the level necessary for receipt and study in this language.
Complex courses. This type of preparatory training includes both language, and special preparation for all entrance examinations of concrete higher education institution. For Russian-speaking entrants such courses are offered by the Anglo-Hungarian Preparatory Center “Sources of Knowledge” (Budapest).
Expenses on training
Expenses on training are much lower, than in England or America. At receipt in all higher education institutions the paid system of receipt for foreigners works: an entrance fee to a selection committee – 135 euro, examination – 200 euro, books – 400-600 more euro a year. Partially students use free photocopies of books and lectures. Primary examination free, and for repeated examination is raised a payment. Students are not forbidden to earn additionally. In each higher education institution the student’s cafe where feed plentifully, tasty and cheap works (10 euro a week).
Work
Many students work in the foreign companies or in the Hungarian companies, having learned Hungarian (initial degree) therefore sometimes visit of lectures turns out free. The freedom of choice and independence reigns in higher education institutions: each student has to correlate the abilities of training to work. Students perfectly combine pleasures of student’s life, and it quite rich and various, and student’s work for the education benefit.
Accommodation
At many higher education institutions there are hostels, their cost – 100-150 euro a month.
Rent of the room costs also. It is possible to rent apartment on group of students from 2-4chelovek, then expenses on payment of utilities are saved (about 55 euro for the one-room apartment). Food in Hungary inexpensive and qualitative. Fruit, vegetables are all the year round available to all (1$/kg).
Safety and life of youth
Budapest is the safest capital of Europe. The attitude towards foreigners quiet and benevolent as at 10 million indigenous people, Hungary is annually visited to 40 million foreign tourists. Many students from around the world live in the country, many foreigners immigrate for receiving residence permit. Among youth occupations in gyms, “tsukrazda” where it is possible to try various cakes and ice cream are popular. Hungary is a tourist country, with fine medical base on waters in numerous pools swimming baths where fitness and sport is developed.
Transport
In Budapest there are all types of city transport – the subway, trams, buses, trolleybuses and electric trains. All means of transport are convenient and comfortable (there is a conditioner in the summer, heating works in the winter), accurately run to timetable. Fare on any transport, including local electric trains, – about $1. For students and pensioners there are cheap tickets: 10 euro a month. A taxi – from 1 euro/km to 1,5 euro/km. Lease of the car – from 30 do70 euro in days. It is possible to buy the second-hand car in a good shape from 800 euro or new small-sized – from 5500 euro. Decency and discipline of the Hungarian drivers is explained by the fact that police officers do not stand behind each turn, but if the careless motorist does violation and the chamber will record it, punishment is inevitable, and penalties make the considerable sums. The Prohibition which is strictly carried out acts on roads.
