Les Roches Marbella International School of Hotel Management

The international school “Les Roches” was founded in Switzerland in 1954, and now is one of prestigious schools of hotel management in the world. For training in Spain the school opened in 1995 in the center of the coast Costa del Sol, one of the most dynamically developing tourist regions of the country, in the city of Marbeya. Located in the province Asturias, one of the historically richest provinces of Spain, Marbeya — the modern and tourist center of Spain with the biggest concentration 5 * and 4 * hotels on all coast Costa del Sol. The school has accreditation of the Swiss Association of Hotel Business. The modern campus of school contains all necessary conditions for successful study: computer office, educational kitchens, linguistic classes and library. Students also study and work at kitchen, at restaurant and bar. The campus of school is near a teaching department. The degree program to last 3 years also consists of 6 semester, alternating from the theory to practice. Students do practical training in prestigious hotels worldwide. Training is conducted for choice or in English, or in two languages (English and Spanish).

introduction to the international system of hotel management,

elimination of losses, system of distribution of numbers,

financial management and system of purchase,

electronic registration of the application,

French or German at choice.

Practical objects:

work at restaurant,

work on a reception,

service of a banquet,

cleaning of rooms,

work in the bar,

sanitary standards.

1 semester – the theory

Theoretical objects:

work in kitchen,

confectionery cookery,

meat kitchen,

technology of production of confectionery,

planning of the menu,

drawing up list of guests,

control of the prices of drinks and products,

microeconomics,

system of distribution of numbers,

work in collective,

German or French.

Practical objects:

work in kitchen,

preparation of confectionery and meat dishes,

1 semester — the theory

Theoretical objects: work of service reception,

control system of real estate,

hotel marketing,

information technologies,

measures for environmental protection,

international law,

administrative communications,

etiquette, macroeconomic,

business planning,

French or German at choice.

2 semester – practice

5 months of practice in hotels and restaurants of Spain and other countries.

Upon termination of the program the student gains the Swiss diploma in the field of hotel management. For receiving degree of the bachelor it is necessary to pass the 4th year of training consisting of two semester of the theory.
